How to Make a SlipKnot

To cast-on you will need to make a slipknot.  Slipknots are very easy to make and the length of the tail is or free end of the yarn is very important.  If you have it too short you could end up with a situation where you don't have enough tail left to cast-on your stitches.

Slip-Knot
1.  Let the tail of the yarn hang in front of your palm, and loop the yarn loosely around the your index finger on your left hand.

2.  Pull the yarn attached to the ball underneath the yarn behind your fingers and then through the loop.

3.  Hold the tail of the yarn in your left hand and the newly made loop in your right hand.  Pull the tail to tighten, and make a slipknot.
